Sorry I have been MIA this week. It was a busy week, with parent-teacher interviews at work, and a number of other outside of work
commitments which has rendered me three days without a run, and a little anxious about it. I am tapering now, but that doesn't mean not running at all. Oh well, I plan on running today and tomorrow.
Last night I went to
Casino Rama with a good friend of mine to see Bill Cosby, which has left my sides a little sore from yesterday. The man still is hilarious at seventy one years of age! And yes he did the dentist routine.

that's an awesome tree! You'll definitely have to update us again if you find out the meaning!
That is really weird. Maybe it actually grows them! Now, if only we could find a money tree like that...
Maci,
Just found your blog, it's very enjoyable and you run in one of my favorite places. So, as a frequent visitor to the Durham region - any suggestions on routes? So far my favorite is northwest towards the ski hills.
Anyways - don't know what you are tapering for - Toronto tomorrow??? Whatever it is, good luck, good race.
Thanks Marci!! :-)
Omg, that shoe tree is super neat. You have to tell us if you hear anything on the origin!!
I took my wife to see Bill Cosby last month at Whiskey Pete's in Primm, Nevada and he was a HOOT! He did the dental routine as well as the story of how men should sit on the toilet when we get older as our aim is horrible. It's amazing how much vigor he at his age!
I'm jealous! I'm in the middle of my marathon training and can hardly wait for my own tapering!!!
LOL. That must be a stinky tree.
Thanks for the laughs! I'd never seen that routine before. Hope you had a good run today, and also will have a good one tomorrow. And, of course, here's hoping for fantastic weather in a week for your and (somewhat selfishly) my, albeit much shorter, race.
That show tree is hilarious! Any size 12.5 mens neutral cushioned ones up there that might be worth salvaging? Goodness knows they are hard to find in the city!
Cheers!
I wonder what the history of the shoe tree is. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
That tree is soooo cool! I'm with Melanie. If you ever find out what the meaning of it is, I'm interested!
That interesting about the shoe tree.
And that's wonderful about winning $10!
That is weird!!! Did you leave one shoe?!
That tree is amazing. If you find out any info. please update.

Enjoy your taper...take it easy and rest up!
What a cool tree!
I saw Cosby back in 2005 when he came to my university and he was AWESOME! I grew up watching The Cosby Show.. someday I'm going to have to buy the DVDs so my kids can watch it one day.
That shoe tree is incredible. I've never seen something like that before!
