Hubs and I are meeting some running friends for a little Christmas cheer this Saturday morning. We are going for a little trail run and then brunch at a running friends house. We are supposed to bring a running gift for a "mystery gift" exchange. Here's the criteria
-10-20$
-unisex
-something a runner would enjoy
I need some creative ideas, and you guys are amoung the most creative people I know, so please, HELP!

you can get a Road ID for 19.99...not sure if you can get it by Friday though...
hmm, i'm not good at the creativity thing either.... but turning to the awesome bloggers out there is a great idea! have fun!
How about a gift card to a running store or sports shop....or maybe a little gift bag with all sorts of stuff like chapstick, sunscreen, running fuel snacks, socks and ect. Good Luck with the gift purchase:)
We had a gift exchange with my running group on Sunday. Some ideas that I noticed:
-Run Fatboy Run DVD
-epsom salts and a hot water bottle (with cover?)
-hand and toe warmers, mittens/gloves
-gels or other nutrition
-hot chocolate, mug(s) and Baileys (for post-run of course!)
Ohh i really like the road id!
You could make a cute little gift pack of gels, a water bottle, and a running magazine or book. Sounds like a fun brunch!
a book, a DVD, starbucks gift card, or you could pick up a cute unisex stocking and fill it with gu, gels, socks, etc.
I think Julie's idea was great - an assortment of little running things (also, who doesn't need more socks?) - but I would add that maybe some kind of reflective gear (like this: http://www.thefind.com/apparel/info-nathan-reflective-ankle-bands) would be nice - especially for this time of year.
Socks! I could always use more socks.
Sounds so fun!!! you could bring like a running winter hat or gloves or something like that! its hard to find stuff for $10!! :) HAVE FUN
Body glide, hot shots for your mitts, blinky lights to attach to your running belt for those dark afternoon / evening runs.
or soup mugs with a home recipe...
Sport wash is only $10 (so in the 10-20 Canadian range). I think it's a good gift for a runner because it's useful, but not something you'd necessarily buy for yourself!
Socks are nice. For the all season runners: mits or hats. Handheld water bottles I never can have too many of those. Reflective arm/leg bands for those long dark winter runs. Nutrition powder, gels or bars for the endurance crowd. Magazine subscription is cool too. Hope that helps.
we do the same thing each year ... the funniest gift was a huge container of epsom salts, like a costco gallon size. Socks are really popular. Starbucks gift card or itunes gift card were what everyone ohh and ahhh at.
Have fun!
