Race Attire

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you will know I have a bit of an obsession with Running Skirts. Imagine my delight when I went to their website, and found out they have created a running skirt for the Shamrock Marathon.

Cute (although I would wear a tank top).

However, this is my first marathon in which I get to wear the Marathon Maniac singlet! I became a maniac back in November at the Hamilton Marathon, but I didn't get my singlet in time for Philly marathon, so this is my first chance to wear the singlet (yellow, red and black theme similar to the logo below). I only want to wear the singlet for marathon races.

I could combine the two, but would Tim Gunn approve? (I *heart* Tim)

Tough call, but I think I am going to wear the MM singlet, but I just might get that skirt anyway for another race. Oh wait, I am supposed to be cutting back on running purchases... LOL Who am I kidding?!

ha ha the drama of getting things to match for racing. I would go for the black running skirt or something, but I have to match. :(

Yeah, that would not get Tim Gunn's approval, although I don't think that much race attire would.
I'd go black or red shorts.
I'd def go for the shamrock skirt, looks so cute!

I'm going to have to try a running skirt after reading you and chic runner rave about them.

Very cute!! I love the green. It's St Patrick's Day...so many people wear something big/green/silly, so your mismatching won't be a big deal at all! I say wear the two!

The skirt is cute! RunningLaur's probably right - I don't think anything we put together for race day will meet TG's approval.

Cute skirt! I never match on race day, but even I would probably not combine that shirt and that skirt LOL.

Planning the attire is always one of the fun things about marathon preparation. I don't have an opinion on your attire, but I'm sure you'll pick a nice one!

I can't wait to see the singlet on you! Who cares about matching? Wear it with the shamrock skirt anyway. ;)

I'm going to try my first running skirt tonight, I got it for 60% off, I'm new to this venture! If you are a running skirt addict you should check out sportskirts.com outlet, they have some adorable skirts that are super cheap! Can't wait to see what combo you come up with!

Tammy said...

Yeah, you have to wear the singlet. The skirt is very cute, but I wouldn't have anything to match it. That would create the need for another purchase...

I'd focus on what's the msot comfortable. The skirt would be perfect but yellow and green...hm...not the best combo. Though I agree with Aron that you'd be easy to spot:) Ana-Maria

Yeah I don't know...that's a lot of....COLOR. LOL I say wear a black skirt with the maniac shirt.

And I'll wear that skirt when my abs look like that chicks abs. Or do those come with the skirt? That would be AWESOME.

LOVE the skirt! Green is my fav color, but I have to match come race day..so I would opt for a black skirt with the MM singlet..unless you really want to stand out :)

I don't own a running skirt...yet! They look so cute, but I haven't found the One.

well... you can never have too many running clothes, right? :) the shamrock skirt is cute but you might get some special looks if you paired it with your mm singlet. lol

Girl if you can wear the running skirt - run! Run for us men! We love em! It should be a law.. haha

Heather said...

Love the skirt . . . but I don't think it goes with the singlet. I would wear a black running skirt and save the green for another race (but definitely buy it - can never have enough cute running clothes!).

Runner Leana said...

I'd wear the green skirt with the singlet. Why not? Is Tim Gunn going to run next to you and reprimand you? Or Stacy and Clinton?

RunToTheFinish said...

you toootally have to wear the singlet... and well it's a st pat's run everyone will looks silly so go for the skirt too.
